Holly Hill Bed & Breakfast
A picturesque, old-fashioned farmhouse, welcoming guests to experience a world filled with charm, ambience and hospitality from another time and place.
Holly Hill Bed & Breakfast - the décor of the large, rambling farmhouse is authentic early Americana. In winter, fireplaces create a warm, convivial atmosphere. Combined with the aroma of seasonal potpourri steeping on the stove and fresh bread baking in a wood-burning oven, one appreciates the cozy tranquility of this idyllic getaway. Year round, each season offers its unique beauty and spiritual gifts.
Secluded from the hustle and bustle of contemporary life, guests may wander through the extensive herb gardens, glimpse the resident peacocks strutting along the garden paths and see the hens roosting in their hen house. The eggs they produce will be gathered the next morning and whipped up into a delicious egg creation for breakfast.
Birdwatchers will delight in the variety of birds, often spotted perching on the countless birdfeeders located throughout the grounds. Hummingbirds sip nectar from feeders within view of the long, glass-enclosed porch on one side of the farmhouse. Most month's butterflies and dragonflies can be seen flying about.
Workshops, events and special seasonal events are planned throughout the year. Lunch and dinner are available on advance request. Please see our "site navigation" for more information.
Nearby, the towns of Hughes Springs, Linden, and Avinger also offer family-style restaurants, and shops with handmade items as well as regional goods. Young and old alike will be captivated by the relaxed atmosphere and simple beauty of Holly Hill. We invite you to visit Holly Hill Homestead, sign our guest book and come visit us again. |
